Since our charter in 1919, The Harrisburg American Legion Post #45 has been welcoming Veterans from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community. Our mission is to implement the goals embodied in our preamble below.
FOR GOD AND COUNTRY WE ASSOCIATE OURSELVES TOGETHER
FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES:
To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America;
To maintain law and order;
To foster and perpetuate a one hundred percent Americanism;
To preserve the memories and incidents of our associations in the Great Wars;
To inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the community, state and nation;
To combat the autocracy of both the classes and the masses;
To make right the master of might;
To promote peace and goodwill on earth;
To safeguard and transmit to posterity the principles of justice, freedom and democracy;
To consecrate and sanctify our comradeship by our devotion to mutual helpfulness.
To the wonderful patriotic citizens of the Harrisburg community. Join our Post as a Booster or Sponsor. 100% of the monies raised are given back to the Harrisburg community. Help us to continue sponsoring Scholarships for our children; give aid and assistance to our local needy Veterans and their families. Welcome to the NEW Post 45 Website!
Hello All
Welcome to the NEW Post 45 Website. I will endeavor to keep you all up-to-date on the goings on at our post home. Including meetings and events plus - let you know what was discussed at our meetings in case you are unable to get to the meeting, plus keep you up-to-date on events that we are taking part in. For instance: our Pancake Feed on March 27 from 9am to 1:00pm. Price is $5.00 children are $3.00 children under 6 are FREE.
